So, I haven't been online for a while. I must say, it was a good break.

Last Saturday and Sunday, I was in Waterford with Odran and a few of his friends for Napalm Death/Primordial. Much drink was had, needless to say, and the fact I hadn't eaten beforehand just made the whole thing cheaper.

His friend also turned 26 on Saturday, so there was a little gathering for him, involving cake, shitloads of alcohol, and random acts such as Rob jumping off the balcony or he and I attaching cans to Aaron's beard via a bent fork and lots of sticky tape. In short, his friends are a wonderful bunch.
Monday, I headed down to Cork for orientation to UCC. We all had a bit of a shindig on Tuesday night, which security was called out to. They just told us not to set off the fire alarms, but only after they said they don't allow parties. The response of Laura, who was living in the flat we were partying in, was,
"Sure, I don't allow parties either. We're just getting to know each other!"
They back down easily. I really didn't care, I had had quite a bit of vodka. And Jaeger and whatever else was around. Then George made me toast.

He even cut it up for me. What a host. College is going to be incredible, and the fact that I'm moving to China in Year 3 just makes it better.

Thursday night, I had a debs with my dear friend Domhnall, who got absolutely
tanked. I had been drinking, but I had to sober up pretty quickly and look after him.

I'm such a good friend, picking him off the floor, nearly starting fights to defend him, taking drunken abuse from him...actually, he's lucky that I love him, otherwise I would have left him lying in a ditch somewhere.

He
did apologise for the drunken abuse though, so it's all good. We also had a good time before he was legless. I mean, who doesn't love doing the YMCA on stage?!
In other news, I got two new tattoos.

I got a bass clef on my left wrist, and a treble clef on my right. Next stop - dreads, then my septum piercing.

As I was typing this, I discovered that Machine Head are touring around here again. Well. The UK. If they don't add an Irish date, I'll fly over to see them. Dear gods. I love my life.
That's also a new revelation - I love the promise of college and new friends and experiences, and I love people like Domhnall who I can rely on and who aren't afraid to admit when they've made a mistake. I'm learning who my real friends are, and life is pretty good. I'm becoming the person I want to be, and that's always a great thing.
Anyway, I've had a fairly packed week what with drinking, work, and college, so I think I need some sleep.
Later!
