Ah the joys...

Journal Entry: Mon Nov 9, 2009, 9:01 AM
I got teeth pulled today. Woop woo!

However, life has generally been good. I'm currently planning two more tattoos as well as piercings, so they shall be done whenever I can afford them!

I know I haven't been writing a lot, but I've just been ridiculously busy with college and my friends. I've also been writing music moreso lately, especially on guitar.

Speaking of music, I went to see Isis in Cork. They were absolutely amazing, and I was right at the front. What a night! Up next we have Winterfest, Rodrigo y Gabriela, maybe Anaal Nathrakh and Marduk, and more than likely, a few others. I love how cheap gigs are in Ireland. :D

So, everyone...how the hell are you!?

Junk and Stuff

Wed Sep 23, 2009, 11:55 AM
Do you like junk and stuff? 'Cause ya gotta have stuff, but expecially junk! And what about things!?

In a nutshell, I'm on a computer in college and am bored and hyper. Fun combination.

I'm taking Chinese, History, Philosophy and Sociology in college, which could be interesting; I am, however, slightly more interested in the social aspect, to be fair. =p I joined socities today; I joined 3 music societies, the LGBT society, the English Lit society and the Atheist society. The final one was one I only joined for free stuff. The concept of an atheists society is hilarious, really, but meh. At least I have the choral, Capriccio music and Live Music societies. :D

I got my ticket to see Isis in Cork, which is deadly. Only 220 tickets = ridiculously intimate gig. 22.50 is also wonderfully cheap. :D

I'm never really on this much anymore, but I'm busy with life and the title. I haven't been writing a lot either, but sometimes, a break is good.

Anyway, I must be off. Later dears!

Devious Journal Entry

Sun Sep 6, 2009, 6:49 AM
So, I haven't been online for a while. I must say, it was a good break. =p

Last Saturday and Sunday, I was in Waterford with Odran and a few of his friends for Napalm Death/Primordial. Much drink was had, needless to say, and the fact I hadn't eaten beforehand just made the whole thing cheaper. =p His friend also turned 26 on Saturday, so there was a little gathering for him, involving cake, shitloads of alcohol, and random acts such as Rob jumping off the balcony or he and I attaching cans to Aaron's beard via a bent fork and lots of sticky tape. In short, his friends are a wonderful bunch.

Monday, I headed down to Cork for orientation to UCC. We all had a bit of a shindig on Tuesday night, which security was called out to. They just told us not to set off the fire alarms, but only after they said they don't allow parties. The response of Laura, who was living in the flat we were partying in, was,
"Sure, I don't allow parties either. We're just getting to know each other!"
They back down easily. I really didn't care, I had had quite a bit of vodka. And Jaeger and whatever else was around. Then George made me toast. :la: He even cut it up for me. What a host. College is going to be incredible, and the fact that I'm moving to China in Year 3 just makes it better. :XD:

Thursday night, I had a debs with my dear friend Domhnall, who got absolutely tanked. I had been drinking, but I had to sober up pretty quickly and look after him. :( I'm such a good friend, picking him off the floor, nearly starting fights to defend him, taking drunken abuse from him...actually, he's lucky that I love him, otherwise I would have left him lying in a ditch somewhere. He did apologise for the drunken abuse though, so it's all good. We also had a good time before he was legless. I mean, who doesn't love doing the YMCA on stage?!

In other news, I got two new tattoos. :D I got a bass clef on my left wrist, and a treble clef on my right. Next stop - dreads, then my septum piercing. :excited:

As I was typing this, I discovered that Machine Head are touring around here again. Well. The UK. If they don't add an Irish date, I'll fly over to see them. Dear gods. I love my life.

That's also a new revelation - I love the promise of college and new friends and experiences, and I love people like Domhnall who I can rely on and who aren't afraid to admit when they've made a mistake. I'm learning who my real friends are, and life is pretty good. I'm becoming the person I want to be, and that's always a great thing.

Anyway, I've had a fairly packed week what with drinking, work, and college, so I think I need some sleep.
Later!

First, I'm still working on putting everyone back in my DevWatch list!

---------------------------------

Now, :iconcorey-lee: has tagged me. :iconlegaspplz:
So here we go.

Here are the rules:

A. Post these rules.

B. Each tagged person must post 8 things about themselves on their journal.

C. At the end, you have to choose and tag 8 people and post their icons on the same journal.

D. Go to their pages and send a message saying you tagged them.

E. No tag-backs!

1 - I love "Boom Boom Pow" by the Black Eyed Peas. It makes me want to booty-pop like my name were Shaniqua.

2 - I daydream way too much for my own good.

3 - People who are excessively emotional in front of other people piss me off. Go die, or else come back and talk to me when you're not on your period.

4 - This is the same as ~Corey-Lee's (woo, common point); I'm a very honest and blunt person...it gets me into a lot of trouble believe it or not.

5 - The only time I show genuine emotion is when I write or compose. Outside of that, I've made a nice little mask for myself.

6 - I have issues taking compliments. I tend to believe the person complimenting me is either being sarcastic or wants something.

7 - I generally don't take my life too seriously. Things come, they go. I succeed, I fail. Que sera sera and all that.

8 - I eat way too much junk.

I tag:

Go go go! :eager:

--------------------------------

In other news, I'm going to Low End this weekend. Napalm Death and Primordial are playing, as well as a few Irish bands. I get to see my friend Odran again! :XD: It's going to fan-fucking-tastic!

I'm also starting college soon. My orientation week begins on the 31st, and I can't wait. I have a feeling college will suit me. =p The city I'm going living in is wonderful. I'll be sure to let you all know about the poetry slams and metal gigs there.

Anywho, I must be off. Hope all is well with you my darlings! :blackrose:

Sooo...I accidently deleted everyone from my DevWatch. :icondurrhurrplz: I'm working on putting everyone back in again though, so it's all good! It may take a while though.

All systems are go for Napalm Death/Primordial, I just need to book the time off work.

The price of rent for college is nuts. I'll be paying about 5,500 euros on rent alone . :iconwtfisthisplz:
Such is life. At least I don't have it as rough as ~theonlyRedBaroness has it. Check out her journal, bitch about the government, and buy her stuff on Etsy!

Speaking of other fabulous deviants, =Pickled-Poppy is currently running a new competition that's open to all! Visit her journal to see how to enter. :)

In other news, I have none. :slow:

Here, have a cookie for reading. :cookie: And maybe some :absolut:?

Also, as I type, I'm on exactly 6,000 pageviews. Wow. Uh...thanks?

Anyway, I'm off to bed and sweet oblivion. Night night!
